NEOMED Campus Undergoes Massive Expansion, CCG to Provide Building Automation Systems

Posted on 10/31/2013

Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) is transforming its 450,000-square-foot campus with several phases of campus expansion during the next two years in order to offer better education and research facilities, larger accommodations designed to address growing class sizes and expansion, facilities open and available to the surrounding community, and additional student life amenities.

The campus expansion includes over $160 million dollar in new facilities, including:

  • Research and Graduate Education Building (RGE), four story 80,000-square-foot
  • Comparative Medicine Unit (CMU), 24,000-square-foot addition
  • Residential Housing Village, 270,000-square-foot
  • Health, Wellness and Medical Education Complex, three story, 177,338-square-foot

CCG Automation was chosen to provide building automation systems for multiple facilities in the expansion.  As part of the RGE and CMU projects CCG Automation has implemented new types of control into NEOMED’s Automated Logic WebCTRL® system.  Some examples include:

  • Cage Cleaning Area Pressure Controls
  • Tunnel Washer Monitoring
  • Dry Heat Sterilizer Monitoring
  • Waste Bedding Dump Station Monitoring
  • Clean Bedding Dispenser Monitoring

CCG has been working with NEOMED for over a decade to implement and monitor their building automation needs.  This partnership has allowed us to provide continuous service and opportunities of growth for the future needs of NEOMED.  We are proud to be working with an organization that aligns with our mission that all decisions and actions are made with the highest degree of ethical standards and that we have a duty to improve life in our community.
