Revere Local Schools Energy Saving Measures Exceed Expectations

Posted on 12/18/2013

December 18, 2013 – CCG was awarded a contract with Revere Local Schools to implement an energy conservation program under the guidelines of Ohio House Bill 264.  The annual projected utility savings were $143,629. One year after the project was completed the actual project savings totaled $203,297 exceeding the original estimate by $59,668.

The energy project included heating plant upgrades, installation of Automated Logic WebCTRL®, window upgrades, and interior lighting upgrades, exterior parking lot lights, automatic dimming lights, and roof-mounted daylighting panels with photocells to control light levels.

After one year, CCG reconciles their estimated savings for the project, to the savings that have actually occurred and the result is always a more efficient, money-saving system for the customer. “We are pleased with the results Revere Local Schools have achieved on this project.  Not only have they reduced energy costs in their buildings they obtained the EPA’s Energy Star certification for all their buildings,” said Brian C. Wagner, President of CCG.

When you get an ENERGY STAR score for your building or plant, it indicates how it’s performing against peer facilities nationwide. For example, a score of 50 is typical, while a 30 means it’s only more efficient than 30 percent of peer facilities. A score of 75 or higher means your facility is a top performer — and eligible for ENERGY STAR certification! These facilities excel due to good energy management practices, such as routine energy efficiency benchmarking.
