The project addressed many Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) at North Royalton High School, including:

  • Lighting upgrades
  • Building automation upgrades
  • Classroom HVAC upgrades
  • Heating plant upgrade

Actual First Year Savings:

  • 323,790 kWh of electricity
    $34,085
  • 4,401 MCF of natural gas
    $54,533
  • Operational savings
    $2,850

Along with the energy and cost savings for the district, the positive environmental impact of this project extends far beyond this community. Reduced energy use by the North Royalton City Schools will prevent a significant amount of pollutants from being emitted into the atmosphere, including an estimated:

  • 479,715 lbs. of carbon dioxide
  • 5,183 lbs. of sulfur dioxide
  • 3,983 lbs. of nitrogen oxide

Combined, these energy savings are equivalent to taking 35.53 cars off the road.
