This project addressed several Energy Conservation measures (ECMs) at Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center including:

  • Building automation upgrades
  • Heating system upgrades
  • Lighting upgrades

Actual First Year Savings:

  • 719,855 kWh of electricity
    $90,215
  • 2,949 MCF of natural gas
    $35,594
  • Operational savings
    $7,607

Along with the energy and cost savings for the building, the positive environmental impact of this project extends far beyond this community. Reduced energy use by the Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center will prevent a significant amount of pollutants from being emitted into the atmosphere each year, including an estimated:

  • 1,065,725 lbs. of carbon dioxide
  • 11,519 lbs. of sulfur dioxide
  • 6,189 lbs. of nitrogen oxide

Combined, these energy savings are equivalent to taking 78.94 cars off the road.
