The project addressed several Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) in six buildings, including:
Building automation upgrades
Lighting upgrades, including campus-wide exterior lighting
Gas and electric meters
Main transformer upgrade
Actual First Year Savings:
623,007 kWh of electricity
6,605 MCF of natural gas
Additional rate structure savings
Along with the energy and cost savings for these buildings, the positive environmental impact of this project extends far beyond this community. Reduced energy use by EHOVE Career Center will prevent a significant amount of pollutants from being emitted into the atmosphere each year, including an estimated:
922,810 lbs. of carbon dioxide
9,971 lbs. of sulfur dioxide
6,937 lbs. of nitrogen oxide
Combined, these energy savings are equivalent to taking 68.36 cars off the road.

CCG Helps EHOVE Career Center During Pandemic
EHOVE Career Center has a new tool called needlepoint bi-
polar ionization as part of its safety & wellness efforts
during the pandemic that will also be a long-term asset. The
ionization system is very effective in killing COVID-19, as
well as other viruses, bacteria and molds, including
Akron Children's Hospital Considine Building Win Energy Award
The American Society for Health Care Engineers announced
that Akron Childrens Hospital has won an Energy to Care
Gold Standard Award.
