  • Projected Annual Energy Savings:
    $55,752
  • Actual First Year Energy Savings:
    $61,099
  • Savings Exceeded Projection By:
    $5,347

The project addressed several Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) in Firelands High School and Firelands Elementary including:

Along with the energy and cost savings for these buildings, the positive environmental impact of this project extends far beyond this community. Reduced energy use by Firelands Local Schools will prevent a significant amount of pollutants from being emitted into the atmosphere each year, including an estimated:

  • 249,448 lbs. of carbon dioxide
  • 2,694 lbs. of sulfur dioxide
  • 2,699 lbs. of nitrogen oxide

Combined, these energy savings are equivalent to taking 18.48 cars off the road.
