Before/After

Tuesday, June 5, 2018 by Brian C. Wagner

Most clients and prospects we speak to can’t believe what a dramatic difference new controls designed, installed and monitored by CCG can make – almost immediately – leading to dramatic improvements in comfort and energy reductions. Then we show them the before and after pictures.

The Automated Logic WebCTRL system uses a thermal graph to show the difference between the room setpoint and the actual room temperature.  Everything is measured in 1/10 of 1 degree F.  If the space is within 0.1 degree F of the heating and cooling setpoints, it will appear as green on the graph.  If the space is greater than 0.1 degree F below the heating setpoint, it will turn light blue, and it will turn yellow if it is above 0.1 degree F of the cooling setpoint.

CCG installed a complete WebCTRL system at the Akron Children’s Hospital existing Considine Building.  The system was completely installed, programs were downloaded, and the system started up prior to any of the variable air volume boxes being taken control of.  The system only monitored the room temperatures while the old controls continued to maintain temperatures in the rooms.  No new heating or cooling equipment was installed.

Over the course of a two-day period while the controls were being cut over, the temperatures in the spaces went from miserable to ideal.

Before CCG

After CCG

This screen capture was taken immediately after taking control of all the Variable Air Volume boxes in the area.  A few areas have mechanical issues that need resolved otherwise control is perfect.

Another great job by the CCG Team.  Imagine how much more productive and healthy the occupants are today. You don’t have to take our word on it, we can show you the proof.
